वन मंत्री श्री अग्रवाल द्वारा 'छत्तीसगढ़ वानिकी दर्पण' के पांचवें अंक का विमोचन

वन मंत्री श्री बृजमोहन अग्रवाल ने आज यहां अपने निवास पर वन विभाग की अर्ध्दवार्षिकी पत्रिका 'छत्तीसगढ़ वानिकी दर्पण' के जनवरी-जून 2008 अंक का विमोचन किया। इस अवसर पर प्रधान मुख्य वनसंरक्षक श्री आर.के. शर्मा, अपर प्रधान मुख्य वन संरक्षक डॉ. अनूप भल्ला, सचिव वन श्री कौशलेन्द्र सिंह, मुख्य वन संरक्षक श्री मुदित कुमार, वन संरक्षक श्री देवेन्द्र सिंह सहित वरिष्ठ अधिकारी उपस्थित थे।  read more »

Qantas QF 72 Airbus 330-300 has been forced to made an emergency landing in western Australia to the town of Exmouth after severe turbulence during flight from Singapore to Perth injured 36 people.
It is suspected that the aircraft computer system behaved irregularly and there are some speculation about passenger laptop may be the cause of malfunction. The aircraft computer suddenly changed the altitude to cause the accident.

At least 20 people were severly injured.

It diverted and safely landed with 303 passengers and 10 crew members.

A Qantas Airbus A330-300, with 303 passengers and 10 crew members on board, was on a scheduled international flight from Singapore to Perth. While in cruise, the aircraft reportedly experienced some type of sudden and unexpected altitude change. The crew issued a mayday call before diverting the aircraft to the airport at Learmonth, near the town of Exmouth, about 1100 kilometers or 680 miles north of its intended destination of Perth.

About 36 passengers and crew members were injured, with over a dozen severe injuries. Reportedly, several occupants were slammed into the ceiling during the event. Most of the injuries were to passengers and crew in the rear of the aircraft, and at least one person was carried off the plane in a stretcher.  read more »
